Walking the straight and Narrow

It isn't easy, and not without pain. When the mind and the heart disagree, and you sit down to rethink your dreams, your ambitions, your priorities. I know mine. And it isn't about being a great designer, or living a comfortable life. At the end of the day, when you sit down and look back at what you have done, I don't want to see a life all caught up with work, or ambition, or even the psuedo-noble notion of bettering mankind.

I am a simple person, or so I hope to be. Not one of lofty ambition. But when you see your dreams and your future ahead of you, slipping out of your grasp, I will not let go, and settle for a life of labour and hollow emptiness.

Let us love, not in word or speech, but in truth and action.

Apocalypse Pooh

Watched Coppola's Apocalypse Now! last night and the psychedelic imageries aren't going away. Disturbing indeed. So in a way of getting the film out of my system I came across this spoof, which follows the major plotlines amazingly well. For those who have never watched the film before, you probably won't understand. For those who did, you'll love this short.

Oh and if you haven't watched he movie, you're missing out one of the movies that defined film history.

"You smell that? Do you smell that? ... Napalm, son. Nothing else in the world smells like that. I love the smell of napalm in the morning. You know, one time we had a hill bombed, for twelve hours. When it was all over I walked up. We didn't find one of 'em, not one stinkin' dink body. The smell, you know that gasoline smell, the whole hill. Smelled like ... victory. Someday this war's gonna end."
